Legendary Groove DNA
The legendary 808 and 909 drum machines laid the foundation for techno and house music.
These historic machines produced their distinctive groove through subtle fluctuations and quirks originating from their sequencers and sound-generation circuits.
The 808 exhibits timing fluctuations, along with subtle variations in the response and pitch of its analog sound engine. The 909, while maintaining tight timing, exhibits subtle variations in velocity and other VCA-driven characteristics.
We analyzed these fluctuations and variations, then reconstructed them as a system of complex modulations operating throughout the sequencer and sound engine. By applying different forms of randomization to individual tracks and sounds, we create a distinctive groove that cannot be achieved through simple swing or groove quantization.

FEEL08: An open rhythm feel with dramatic HiHats pitch fluctuations and subtle Clap and Snare transient offsets.
FEEL09: A driving rhythm feel with tight timing, subtle offsets, and velocity randomization across instruments.
FEEL.MN: MINIMAL’s own groove, combining 08-inspired pitch fluctuations and 09-inspired offsets into an aggressive, undulating feel.
Deep 10-Track Drum Machine
deconstruct MINIMAL is driven by its 10-track drum machine, offering intuitive and flexible editing for both sound and groove.
Per-track accents/de-accents, random velocity, swing, sub-steps, and parameter locks that capture knob movements combine to create deep, intricately layered grooves that feel alive.

Sonic Expansion Sampler
deconstruct MINIMAL’s drum machine features a dedicated loop sampler on track 10, with tracks 7–9 also functioning as three sampler tracks.
Load one-shot samples or capture loops and phrases, then weave them directly into your rhythm.
Track 10 is a dedicated stereo loop track supporting up to 8 seconds — ideal for 4-bar phrase loops or atmospheric textures that add new layers and depth to your tracks.

Elastic Bass Synth
deconstruct MINIMAL introduces a newly developed analog-modeling bass synth inspired by the distinctive character of a classic bass synthesizer.
With additional waveforms, a sub-bass and dedicated overdrive, plus real-time control over glide (slide) time and curve, decay curve, and gate time, it offers extensive shaping possibilities.
From foundational bass sounds that anchor the bottom of a track to synth leads and phrases, it generates the key sounds that drive the groove.
Alternate Synth Mode: S01, evoking a classic monophonic analog synth, selectable in SOUND.
Parameter locks and phrase rotation open up endless phrase expression.
Live-Boosting Effects
deconstruct MINIMAL packs a wide range of effects, including Reverb and Tape-echo–type Delay with per-track send control.
The drum-track–dedicated Isolator at the top enables everything from bold low-end boosts and cuts to precise tonal shaping, giving you immediate control over the sound.
